Ordering an Art Commission

FAQ how to order step by step~ It's easy!

Where to order an art commission?

While you can ask about art commissions and availability via social media (instagram, twitter, deviantart, artstation), you can order the commission via:

The e-mail conversation between parties is a substitution for a formal contract (for personal clients).

I have also Terms of Use to protect both parties!

Things I won't do/draw?

I am pretty open when it comes to drawing, trying new things, challenging myself - still some things are a no-no for me, for various reasons.

I won't draw:

  • comic books/manga (single/4-koma/a few pages are OK though),

  • porn/hentai - this including loli/shota and rape/gore and real people - NSFW and hetero/homo/bisexual couples or even trios are fine if you enjoy not too explicit style of drawing this kind of things!

  • politics and religion

  • mecha and high tech/sci-fi stuff

Any other things I can think of seems to be OK! In any case, just ask!

What influences a price?

My rates are not set in stone. They can vary depending on the client and their project. I always try to set a fair price for both of us. So please don't be afraid to message me and write me your ideas! :)

What makes the price higher? Factors like size of canvas, amount of details/characters, time of delivery (e.g. deadline, especially tight).

Minimum rates (sketch/B&W) start:
~$40-$60 per portrait and chibi
~$80-$100 per character art
~$150+ per sketchpage and illustration.

Typical rates (color/render):
~$70-120+ per chibi/portrait
~$150+ per character art
~$250+ per design
~$300+ per illustration
The prices written above are for personal clients.

Please note that art commission is a bit different from purchasing one of hundreds of stocked items in a store. You buy an unique piece of art that is made specially for you, and that goes along with artists time, supplies, skills and dedication - that also explains commissions rates.

How goes the payment and delivery of finished piece?

All the services I provide are digital. It means the customer is going to receive a digital copy of the artwork via e-mail in full resolution and in a high quality (at least ~2500px, 300dpi).

No mailman knocking on the door ;)

When both parties agree to the drawing subject and the price, I send the invoice via paypal. The client shall complete at least 50% of the total price before I start working on the sketch. (Payment installements and amount of revisions are going to be set individually).
When payment is confirmed, in next few days I send the sketch/concept to the client. Here the customer can check the idea and adjust things they want to improve. If everything is correct, I work further - until it's done! -

How  l o n g  it takes depends on complexity of the work and our agreement (if there is no set deadline, just please don't rush me~). A waiting time takes from 2 days to 2+ months!

I send finished artpiece to the client and wait for the feedback (hoping they'll be happy of the result!).

The client receive the finished piece only when it's 100% paid.

Commercial rights - needed or not?

Personal clients are individuals who buy art for they own purpose and pleasure, e.g. as a birthday gift or for their private collection.

Commercial clients have a bussiness where part of it is my art, e.g. using images for the distributing, selling, printing - and generally make profit of it.

Please note that any kind of art/promotional art for non-profit organizations/projects/sites, Twitch, YT and similiar sites using for your bussiness and/or income - do count as commercial orders too.
